DONNA CRONIN

East Kingston – Donna J. Cronin, 69, of Sanborn Road, died October 17, 2014 at Exeter Hospital.

Born February 4, 1945, in Lynn, MA, she was the daughter of Warren and Dorothy (Lewis) Nordin. Raised in Lynn she was a 1962 graduate of Lynn English. In 1975 she moved to East Kingston. She received her BA in Mathematics from Northeastern in 1967. She received her Master’s in Education from UNH; and in 2007 her Ph.D. in Education, also from UNH.

Donna was a middle school math teacher in the Exeter AREA school district for over 25 years. She co-authored a book on math curriculum and worked with the NH Department of Education on testing. She also taught a seminar about working with middle school students for fifteen years at UNH.

Donna was an avid reader and would read several books each week. She also very much enjoyed traveling with Frank on their Harley Davidson. Together, they visited many casinos from Canada to Florida on the bike, along with all the covered bridges in NH.

She was a member of St. Michael Church in Exeter, and had been a 4-H Leader for many years in Rockingham County.

Donna is survived by her husband of 44 years, Frank Cronin; daughters, Jennifer and Rebecca Cronin of Newmarket; sisters, Margaret McBrien of Sturbridge, MA and Joan Nordin of Brentwood; 1 brother, Jeffrey Nordin of Lynn, MA; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 22nd from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter Street, Newmarket.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23rd at 1 p.m. at St. Michael Church, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, 53 Lincoln Street, Exeter, NH 03833.
